Amanda was the City of Sydney Assistant Curator of Public Art for the Sydney Sculpture Walk program and other new artworks being commissioned as major City of Sydney initiatives in the lead up to the 2000 Olympic Games and 2001 Centenary of Federation.
Lynne Roberts-Goodwin's Tankstream - Into the head of the cove… was an installation across five sections of Pitt Street Mall and Martin Place of in-ground elements of text inscribed steel and illuminated toughened glass. The illuminations activated the artwork in a myriad of colours to reference the water beneath the streets in the original Tankstream. As the central reason for Sydney’s post-colonial location, the Tankstream was an important source of fresh water that lead into the cove and survives under the streets today.
